Glenalvon is a sandstone building built in 1840. The stone is smooth with light milky and gold sandstone colours.
There is a large well behind the building (house) and the Glenalvon Stables, consisting of a two storey stone coachhouse and a stable.
Glenalvon House is now a small hands on museum, run by the Campbelltown and Airds Historical Society, open on the first Tuesday, second Saturday and third Wednesday of the Month, from 10 am to 1pm. Phone +061 2 4625 1822 or contact secretary@cahs.com.au.
