Meroogal House Nowra
For a fascinating view of life of the settlers can be experienced by visiting Meroogal, run by the Historical Houses Trust of NSW. A family of women lived here for four generations.
The house is known for its architecture and gardens, but the women that lived here have left their mark. Exploring the layers of time from the domestic duties they performed, to the pursuit of their many and varied interests through the years by the successive generations, the house is well worthy of a visit.
Nowra Wildlife Park
At the Nowra Wildlife Park you can pet a koala. The largest native animal park in the Shoalhaven, the 16 acres of native bush has over 100 different species of native fauna - reptiles, birds and animals.
Bomaderry
The terminus for Sydney trains is at Bomaderry. From here, there are numerous bus services that can take you to the many places of the Shoalhaven. You can find them in Sydney as well to get you to the South Coast.
