You can take a self-guided tour of the Araluen Cultural Precinct to learn about the people of Central Australia, their arts, culture and heritage. The Arrernte people lived here for many thousands of years, there are Arrernte sacred sites within the Precinct.

This museum of natural history explores the ancient landscape of Australia and the flora and megafauna that lived here. Fossils of some amazing creatures are exhibited here, including the largest bird ever discovered and a giant crocodile.
Named the Old Ghan because its route follows the tracks taken by the early Afghan camel train drivers taking supplies through the Northern Territory to Darwin.
