Parks and Reserves

Much of its surrounds are occupied by Morton National Park, Budderoo NP and the Cambewarra Range Nature Reserve.

Budderoo is known for its pristine rainforests, stunning waterfalls and grand views from the lookouts. Morton NP abounds in wildlife and the Fitzroy cascading waterfall is fascinating. Activities include swimming, fishing, hiking and long treks, camping and mountain climbing.

Cambewarra Range Nature Reserve is divided amongst a number of mountain peaks and surrounds, famous for its native animals and diverse birdlife. You can great views of Kangaroo Valley from the peaks.

Getting Here

Getting here from the NSW South Coast: You can take the tourist route to the valley from Nowra on the Moss Vale Road, or from Berry, past Berry Mountain on Kangaroo Valley Road. There is plenty of scenery along the way.

At the Pioneer Farm Settlement shows what life was like in the mid 19th Century, having preserved cottages, a blacksmith’s working shop, a dairy and machinery displays. There are photographs and exhibits relating to the history of the valley on display.
