Collaroy, situated on the Northern Beaches of Sydney only has a limited number of places to eat. However, not far away, you can find some excellent restaurants, diners and cafés at the other nearby surf and swimming beaches, including Narrabeen, Dee Why and Manly (see the Northern Beaches Map).
Just opposite Narrabeen Beach on Ocean Street, Barbuto Restaurant has gained a name for itself for good food and good service. Catering for a wide range of tastes for not only beach-goers but those looking for a more substantial meal, or just a small plate to snack on, you sure to find what you want. Salads, Burgers, Ribs and Combos or a juicy steak for the hungy, its all on the menu.
Also in Narrabeen, The Bored Monkey seeks to entertain. Regularly changing specials, with light meals to something more substantial as well as shared plates of tapas. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Situated on the main road to Palm Beach from Collaroy, they serve some great combo meals, including Surf & Turf, Surf & Ribs, Beef & Ribs as well as a seafood plate. Vegetarians are also catered for.
On the Pittwater, Limani Seafood Restaurant offers fine dining, great service and good food. Serving both modern and traditional seafood, as well as some modern Australian dishes with set menus as well as a la carte. Their Seafood Platter include Rock Lobster from Western Australia and other fresh seafood, followed by a seasonal fruite plate. They also cater for those not wishing seafood with other items, including beef and lamb.
With great views of Dee Why Beach and its famous surf, this steakhouse has al fresco dining, with delicious pork ribs and prime cuts of char grilled steaks, including select aged beef. Yet, they also do chicken, fresh seafood, burgers and salads and finger foods in the form of tapas. They also have a substantial wine list and offer cocktails.
Located further south, The Boathouse Shelly Beach can be accessed from Manly Beach along a gorgeous walk to Shelly Beach. Since they do breakfast, a great way to start the day. Of course you could also drive there, but would it be the same? Lunch menu includes dishes like Tiger Prawns, Fish, Beef Burgers and seafood platters. Open for breakfast and lunch and located on the beachfront, with al fresco service.
