Take the plunge with Diving with sharks at the SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium for the opportunity of a lifetime!

Come face to face with huge critically endangered Grey Nurse Sharks, sea turtles, stingrays and a vast array of other marine life. Experienced instructors will prepare you by teaching the basics of SCUBA diving in the classroom and training pool so you feel confident before meeting the sharks.

The 2.5 hour experience includes a 30 minute dive in Shark Harbour, the 4 million litre ocean tank. Friends and family are able to watch all the action from the underwater viewing tunnel.

Diving with sharks at the SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium is great for first time and experienced divers. All equipment is supplied, just bring swimmers and a towel. Optional in-water photos are available to view and purchase following the dive.

Bookings are essential. Medical restrictions apply.

Experience animal conservation in action at Manly SEA LIFE Sanctuary and take an active part in our rescue, breed and protect program. We successfully breed some of our incredible local species; we are passionate about rescue, nursing animals back to health and releasing them back into the wild; and we endeavor to protect their natural habitats.

 

Check out the BRAND NEW Penguin Cove where you can discover our own colony of Manly’s iconic Little Penguins and their importance to the shores of Manly. Join in our interactive talks and feeding demonstrations and be charmed by ‘Sea Biscuit’, our rescued Green Sea Turtle, or amazed by our huge sharks and stingrays. See Murdoch and Freckles, two captive bred Grey Nurse Sharks, who have been brought together to continue our successful breeding program. Meet the team and journey through our waters as you learn how you can protect the marine environment. Get hands-on and discover more about our local environment at the interactive rockpool, where you can touch a shark egg or hold a crab.

    Getting To Manly Beaches

    All these beaches are accessible from Sydney Central by car, or buses from the city at Wynyard Buses 190 and 191. The easiest way is to take the ferry from the city to Manly.

    At the surf beach There are toilet, shower and change facilities available, with good swimming and places to surf. Remember to swim between the flags!

    One of the glorious Sydney Northern Beaches, Avalon Beach is backed by a park reserve with good surfing and swimming.
