The city centre has plenty of things see and do. Loads of cafe’s, restaurants, pubs and bars at night, during the day there is sightseeing, beautiful buildings to see and chances to shop. More about Sydney City Center:

Hyde Park was declared a common in 1792 by Governor Phillip and in 1804 was the venue for the first recorded cricket match in Australia. The ANZAC War Memorial, opened in 1934, houses a small museum about Australia at war.
Designed by convict architect Francis Greenway, the building is a note-worthy example of Colonial architecture. Elegant in looks, the building was built to house new convict arrivals in 1819. Now a museum, there are displays and galleries about the history of the Hyde Park Barracks and early convict life.
The largest gallery in Australia, the Art Gallery houses key works from well known Australian artists. The Asian and Aboriginal galleries are excellent. There are tours available and an everchanging stream of displays.
During December and January every year, there are numerous free outdoor concerts, including Christmas Carols by Candlelight, Jazz, Classical, Country and Folk. For details see:
