Eureka Tower Melbourne Australia

Melbourne Australia - Eureka Tower, using the Greek expression made famous by Archimedes, named after the 1854 discovery of Gold in Victoria and the famous battle at the Eureka Stockade for their rights by miners. Located in Southbank at the Riverside Quay, on the south side of the Yarra River, (not that you can miss it) this building was first opened in 2006 and stands at a height of some 300 metres.

One of the features at the top of this tall building is ’The Edge’. A cube of glass that takes you outside the building with stunning views of Melbourne City and surrounds.

The next tallest building in Melbourne is the Rialto Towers, height 251m - 823f, with 63 stories and completed in 1986, located at 525 Collins St., in the Melbourne Central Business District (CBD).
