Mantra Wines 2008 Sauvignon Blanc
Silver medal November 2008 Margaret River Wine Show
A classy and tasty Margaret River Sauvignon Blance with spicy flavours of passionfruit and citrus lime and lemon. It has nice characters to round off the flavour, with a gentle texture. Fruity with hints of passionfruit and ripe pineapple.
Delicious flavours of a spicy fig - hints of melon and kiwifruit. A texture that is creamy but finishes with a delicious oak with vanilla hints. A great Margaret River wine to refresh your senses and savour.
Intense Deep Purple with bright edges holds great promise. Scented blueberries and hints of blackcurrants over fruitcake like ripe redolent red fruits and spicy cedar, blackberries and cream.
Rich, deep, full-flavoured, blueberry, plums and red berry flavours. Cedar spice and classic Cabernet tannin softened by smooth mouth-filling fruit before a really extended finish.
Intense deep red purple with fragrant chocolate, blackberry and smoky oak. Plush creamy palate of black dark fruit, molasses and chocolate with a toasty cedar spice finish. Syrah grape, now referred to in Australia as Shiraz. Aged in American Oak, giving it the hint of vanilla.
This French Import comes from the Languedoc region. An elegant Shiraz with some Voignier (9%), it is a tasty reminder of its Mediterranean roots but with a New World brashness it has a robust flavour with rich, soft and ripe fruits.
This one has fresh pear fruit and has nice clean minerality, with everything in its right place. Italy has great experience with this grape and it is no surprise that this is far better than any Australian version we have tried for such a low price.
