Blue Mountains

An hour’s drive or train ride from Sydney Central, the Blue Mountains offer grand views of an ancient landscapes. In the various towns along the way you can explore antique shops, sample on the many cosmopolitan and traditional fare restaurants and visit some of the many markets and art galleries.

The Blue Mountains region has been classed a World Heritage Area. There are numerous trails of varying difficulty for those keen to explore on foot, at Katoomba you can take the scenic railway down the cliff in a controlled dive to the lower parts in the valley.

The Blue Mountains have been a Sydney mountain retreat and escape since the 19th Century, there are historical hotels and resorts that date to those earlier times. There are also world class resorts and international hotels.
