The market itself is a National Heritage Building, having been in existence for over 140 years.

Nearby is String Bean Alley, here you can shop for books, arts and crafts, beauty products, chocolates and very fashionable jewellery.
Getting here: You can take Melbourne Trams 19, 57, 58 and 59. They will take to the front entrance, or you can simply walk from Flagstaff Train Station or Melbourne Central Station (approx seven minutes).
