Fitzroy Gardens, located on the east side of the Melbourne city centre is not nearly as large as the Melbourne Royal Botanic Garden, but is spectacular nonetheless. It also some very interesting building, with Captain Cook’s Cottage and the Conservatory being important attractions in their own right. The park features winding paths, grand trees, exotic and Australian plants and much more:
Federation Square has a number of significant Melbourne attractions and has ongoing special events and exhibitions. Here you will find bars, entertainment and restaurants. Nearby are other significan attractions, including the National Gallery of Victoria and the Yarra River.
The Yarra River divides the city, but like the Seine in Paris, you can find must see places on both sides. Just over the Victoria Bridge you will find the National Gallery of Victoria, while further down at the other side of St. Kilda Road there is the Shrine of Rememberance.
