Newtown’s ever busy King Street with great Places to Eat
The growing list of Sydney’s restaurants and bars in Newtown are an answer to the city’s desire for quality, indeed, sensational food at reasonable prices. Here is a list of some of our favourites:
The Oscillate Wildly has great inventive food that belies the smallish size of the restaurant. With a passion for food, this place serves sustainable dishes made from fresh locally sourced ingredients that are not only designed to please the palate, but all the senses.
The culinary kitchen team is led by chef and owner, Karl Firla. Sensory food that looks and tastes delicious, you are likely to leave satisfied and happy. All flavours are as they say, “carefully considered.” Even the wine list is attentively chosen, with both imported and locally produced wines.

Serving delicious dumplings, whether steamed or pan seared, the Luyu and Yum Yum restaurant. Yum Yum means dumplings, while they are tasty, they are also beautifully crafted to be individual and pleasing to the eye. Served along with antioxidant-rich Moringa tea, the dumplings make for a superior meal.
