Jamaica House
Mon, this house is pumping! Serving not only great food but a very interesting selection of drinks, Jamaica House has gained a reputation for being amongst the top ten restaurants in Sydney’s Newtown. Their small menu ensures freshness of some very traditional Jamaican dishes, including Jerk Pork and Pineapple Skewers. Vegetarians can try the Crispy Jamaican Spiced Pastry.
The drinks menu includes the Zombie, a Banana Colada and the Rockafella. If they don’t put you in a Jamaican mood, what will?

Nonna Gio
Serving great traditional Italian family food, Nonna Gio encourages sharing dishes or your own portions. The food here is promised to be simple with authentic recipes passed down through the generations, only the best dishes have made the cut.
In fact, they do not even have a menu. They have a selection of Italian cheeses for entrées, they have two mains dishes to select from traditional recipes that change weekly. It does not get any homey than that, ensuring freshness and flavours you would be hard pressed to duplicate at home, even if your an accomplished cook yourself.
With claims to be one of the best, if not the best, Thai restaurant in Sydney you would have to not like food from Thailand to not try this place. Also catering for vegans and kids, they have a smallish selection of excellent dishes to try.
Their BBQ Baby Octopus is delicious, as are their Chicken Satay and their Steam Ginger Scallops. They also have good selection of vegetarian dishes to try.
This fine dining restaurant has a wonderful selection of tapas style dishes to taste, as they promise the ultimate grazing experience. They not only have hot dishes, they have cold ones as well as vegetarian.
You may want to try the banquet Celebration Menu (minimum two guests). Their dishes are fusion from the wide world of food and delicious.
Is there anything more satisfying than Mexican food? Great taste, straightforward and filling. At Calaveras you can get exactly that, with a selection of Quesadillas, Tacos and Platos Grandes as well as the usual sides.
You will also find a great range of imported cervasas, tequila & mezcals to accompany the meal. Or try one of their delicious cocktails.
