The twin cities of Albury-Wodonga is divided both by the Murray River and the New South Wales Victoria border.

This division has not hindered but turned this place into a thriving, modern city. Yet it retains its leisurely country charm with a mix of heritage buildings, parks and gardens including the historic Botanic Gardens.

Kinross Woolshed Hotel, on the outskirts of Albury-Wodonga, retains all the character of a woolshed with the original woodwork, pen gates, shearing stands, corrugated iron and Ferrier wool press used in the restoration.

Located in an authentic WWII supply depot, the Army Museum at Bandiana, near Wodonga, is much more than a display of guns and tanks: its the largest and most diversified military museum in Australia. The museum was established in 1976 as the Royal Australian Army Ordinance Corps general museum.

Wonga Wetlands at Albury-Wodonga features the amazing 600-year-old Murray River red gums and is a sanctuary beloved by birdwatchers, field naturalists, photographers and bushwalking groups.

The Botanical Gardens in Albury-Wodonga has some interesting flora species including a pine which grew from a seed taken at Lone Pine in Gallipoli.
