One of the wonderful attractions of the National Library is the Treasures Gallery. Here, there are exhibits as well as maps, books and manuscripts pertaining to Australia’s history and heritage. They also have paintings, audiovisual presentations and artefacts from historical figures and times.
One of the most outstanding is Captain Cook’s journal from his journeys on the Endeavour. The exhibits are changed on a regular basis, ensuring a different experience whenever you visit.
