Homes in the Blue Mountains National Park: Historical Leura
Next: Jenolan Caves
See the Map of the Blue Mountains.
Many of the homes in Leura are historical, dating back to the 1800s. Sitting on the ridges of the Blue Mountains, there are spectacular views to be had.
The birdlife is abundant and colourful here, even amongst the homes surrounded by trees: you can see lorrikeets and parrots, galahs and others.
Those visiting from the city and further afield can find a variety of accommodation available to base themselves to further explore the mountains.
The drive alone is worth a visit to the Blue Mountains, but you will also find an excellent collection of restaurants and other places to eat, as well as historical and quaint pubs along the way.
Resorts and Villages are scattered along the Great Western Highway, many with grand views of the mountains and valleys below. The highway cuts through as well goes over the mountains, following the route the earliest colonial explorers took.
Blue Mountains accommodation includes quaint Bed & Breakfasts, Hotels, Caravan Parks, Motels and Luxurious Resorts.
